Hollywood Icon Robert Redford Has Died at the Age of 89

Beloved performer Robert Redford, known for classic performances in films like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, left us at 89 years old.

A statement confirmed that the award-winning actor died on a September day at his property in the mountains of Utah, family.

Redford additionally an iconic performer, but the force behind of the prestigious indie film event.

He earned an Oscar for directing in 1980 for the film Ordinary People and shared his exit from performing in 2018.

Over his illustrious career, Redford appeared in acclaimed movies such as The Candidate.

While his role in Butch Cassidy made him a star, he often expressed unease with being labeled solely a heartthrob.

“He will be deeply mourned,” the announcement added. “Those closest to him respectfully desires privacy now.”
